You added eolys or another additive straight to your fuel tank ? Would it save expensive top ups or filter replacements ? Would it stop regens when your stuck in traffic and the car is unable to complete ? Would like to know if anyone has tried this ?

The additive does go into the tank! Won't help for any of the things you've described, as there isn't anything to change

I know the eolys is dosed everytime you fill up but doesn't the regen process really on the car cleaning itself ? And we all know cars dont always work the way they should, was just wondering if it's possible to aid the process somehow ?

The additive is added to enable to diesel to burn at a lower temperature. This then allows the cleaning process through the DPF in the exhaust to happen as during a regen the engine runs hotter, then a little squirt of diesel into the exhaust system, and due to it burning at a lower temperature will burn in the exhaust thus burning off all the leftover residues. I believe this is why it does them good to have a good run as the exhaust gas gets hotter, compared to town driving.
Some of the redex treatments are said to help as they burn better and clean residues along the way. I've used redex in mine every now and then just to give the engine & injectors a bit of a clean, then go back to just normal diesel.

Seem to be the general consensus
