Does anyone out there have experience with having a repair done on the Warranty? In particular the master/slave cylinder? The master cylinder/slave cylinder neeeded doing on mine and it was covered under warranty but I only found out today that they only replaced the master cylinder because apparently when the warranty pays they only pay for one failed part? This sounds silly to me as normally good practice is to replace both together!
Any comments would be helpful.. |

Haven't heard of warranties only paying for a single part, would have thought they cover the entire job, regardless.
Sounds like the garage was trying to save a few quid ![]() Take it this is Peugeot dealer/warranty?

Warranty will only pay for the part that has failed. Its all down to who puts up the claim and what they want to claim for. All replacements have to be justified. If a dummy claim is put in and there is a warranty audit the dealership will be in trouble.
If the master cylinder has failed then there is no point in fitting a slave cly also. Sounds like the tech was covering himself well by electing the two parts at fault whether they be failed or not.
