Default Using black tape to cover warning lights.

Hi i have just brought a peugeot 307. Everything seems fine with the car but we realised there is 3 warning lights covered with black tape. The lights are the 'STOP' light, 'Handbrake and low brake fluid' and 'ABS warning light'. Is there a common fault this would be hiding? Or any fault that would be linked to all 3 lights? We are having the car put on diagnostics tomorrow. I can not see if the lights are on or not because the tape is covering them.

Take the console out and remove tape its quite easy , would guess at an abs sensor problem .

Hilarious!

Incidentally, if this is a UK car you are talking about then it will be an MOT failure in its current state. If a car is fitted with ABS then it has to be working, which is tested by comparing the time the ABS check light comes on against a standard guide book (testers are drones going by the book after all). No light when there should be 2 seconds of light means fail. Daft thing is if the car had no ABS as standard it would pass!

Personally I think it is hilarious that someone thought it was easier to take the console out and cover the lights with tape than replace the ABS sensor.....

personally i would just remove the leds...that way they will have no clue...mind you neither would i

but i suspect that if the brake test was done properly they would feel the abs kick in far too early and make loads of noise
