Default Use new style key on old model?

Hey all,

I want to get a new key for my 2003 307, would rather the flip keys of the newer models: will they work for me?
eg: $67.65 - Peugeot 307 Folding Remote ID46 Transponder Smart Key - Replacement Keys/Remotes

(my current key looks like this but with remote locking: $8.05 - Peugeot 307 ID46 Transponder Smart Key - Replacement Keys/Remotes )

Regards,
Daurn

That thread seems to indicate the innards are not transposable?
If so, where is the cheapest place I can buy a new key with remote innards and all?

PS, probs not the thread/place for it, but is it worth getting a pp2000 cable to sync the remote to the car myself? where can I get one of these cables cheap? could I instead do it with just a plain OBDII aparatus (and which software?)?

As much as I'd love to buy them from you; the cheapest I've found is:
US$93 from Lexia-3,Lexia 3 Citroen&Peugeot Diagnostic,Peugeot Diagnostic tool,china Lexia-3,Lexia-3 Manufactures-Professional Diagnostic Tools [sp08] - $92.99 :
I still don't want to spend that much though
