Tapping Engine

Hi I have a 51 Reg 1.6 Peugeot 307 and a while ago I had tapping on the engine so used engine flush which seemed to cure the problem as my thought was sticking hydraulic adjuster. I have just made a long journey and noticed the tapping has come back and got louder I have has a member of family take a quick look and he recons its either a sticking hydraulic adjuster on chamber 4 or a fuel injector giving up. I wasnt aware that faulty fuel injectors can make a noise but i have noticed the car hesitates in 1st gear when pulling away.

Has anyone else come across this problem the noise gets loud, quietens down so the tapping isnt so bad then comes back again when stood over the engine, any help would be appreciated
