The tachometer has stopped working on my 206 1.6 GLX. Everything else is working fine. Have checked all fuses and all are ok. Cannot find anything useful in the Haynes manual.
The wiring diagram indicates that the tachometer receives engine speed through the ECU. My next step is to take it along to my local Peugeot dealer to have it hooked up to their diagnostics. Before I do that, has anyone else come across this problem before? Could it be the dial itself at fault? If there isn't a specific sensor somewhere at fault, assuming the ECU is ok, only leaves a faulty wire/connector somewhere. Anyone got any helpful suggestions?

Tachometer..... do you mean the speedo dial, or the mileage counter??

No, it's the rev counter. Everything else in the instrument cluster works fine.
