hi guys im a new user of these forums so please be gentle with me, i have a peugeot 307 sw 56 plate the engine seized solid last year so i bought a second hand engine and was told it had only done 3000 miles t was fitted by a reputable garage in saffron walden where i live and i also had the clutch done and the cam belt and the mechanic said one of the injectors was damaged so that was replaced at a cost of £2000 including the engine, the car ran fine for a few days then the turbo went bang , refurb turbo fitted another £900 gone, the car now runs fine but when the engine is under pressure going up through the gears smoke comes out of the exhaust and leave like a sooty deposit over the back of the car has anyone had or seen this happen please any ideas ? thanks guys best regards steve

These turbos fail for a reason. BAD serrvice history! No way would I trust an engine that the turbo has failed on.
The engine is uaually toast when the turbo fails from carbon buoildup within engine.
