Default Reverse Lights Stay on all the time - 406

Hi

My reverse lights are staying on all the time... even when I'm driving forward. Any idea how I can fix this?

Thanks

Probably the reverse light switch - about £10 for a new one if it is

Most likely to be on the gearbox somewhere. As battlestar says, last 8 digits of VIN and it can be confirmed

Pic attached.... part no.9 is the switch on the gearbox.
Cost for a new one (if this is found to be the problem) - £8.49+VAT from Peugeot
