I'm about to install a new clutch on my 407 SW 2.0 HDI -06. I've noticed that the special tools needed to mount it "correctly" are way more expensive than the clutch itself so are there any good ways of doing it without them? ANY DIY tips you can share?

The tool is needed to compress the clutch to fit it properly.

Sorry for the late reply.
I've talked to three different shops (two of them being Peugeot) and they all say that the tool is not needed when fitting a new clutch, only when re-installing an old one. That's good news! |
