Hi everyone
First thread so please be gentle I have a Peugeot 806 dieslel (04) which requires new tyres. On the front I have reinforced tyres (99H) and on the rear I have standard load tyres (95H). My rear tyres need replacing but there is a big difference in price between the standard load and the reinforced. Could any of you guys tell me if my car will be OK to run on standard load tyres or do I need reinforced? Thanks very much |

I guess it depends what loads you are running.
If you run mainly light with only one or two occupants and nowt in the boot, then std load tyres are gonna be fine. If you regularly run fully loaded and pull a caravan or similar though, then you should go for the heavier load rating. Load Index 95 gives a max load capacity of 690kg Load Index 99 gives a max load capacity of 775kg That's per tyre at optimum pressure of course. Obviously you have the extra weight of the engine and box at the front, increasing the load on the front tyres, which could explain why they have a higher rating on there at the mo' Last edited by Charlie; 08-21-2010 at 09:27 AM. |
