Default Radio bleeping

Hi, The radio on my 206cc stopped ejecting CDs so, after six months of listening to The Who non-stop, I decided to buy a replacement. I found a second hand one on ebay but when I installed it, instead of asking for a code, it has just started bleeping every few seconds. What should I do? Also I tried putting in a CD and it wasn't pulled in as it should be. Will this start working when I sort out the bleep or have I been sold a pup?

They are programmed to the vehicle itself, that's why it did not ask for a code. You will need someone to reprogramme it to your car then it should work.

What does PP2000 map mean? Also, the radio does play although it's impossible to listen to with the bleep. That's why I am concerned that the CD player is completely inactive. Will it spring into action when the radio is reprogrammed?

The pp2000 map is in my signature below , it will tell you who has pp2000 Peugeot diagnostics that will get rid of your beeping, or you can take it to any main dealer who will do it for around £15.

This site is amazing. Wish I'd found it years ago. Thanks mcdig, amir6662003 and bettyswollocks for your help and advice.
