Default PP2000 key programming procedure

Does or has anyone got the procedure for programming the remote keys sorted out yet. If you have the pin code, is this to access or unlock the bsi or is it the code for the key itself. does it just open up the system to allow a new key to be added, and does the remote opening side of the key fob work and can be added, independently from the transponder side.
If there is someone out there who has had success in doing this then maybe they could write up a 'how to go about this in detail' procedure..

Or is this code for the mechanical part of the key so that you can order over the phone and have them sent out to you.

Many thanks

There are two codes, one code for physically cutting the key (8 characters I think), and one code for the transpoder (4 characters)

You open up PP2000, go into Accessories I think, or New Equipment, and select transpoder key.

It then guides you through it, reprogramming each key to the car, step by step.

First it asks for the transponder code as above, then it asks how many keys there are for the car. Input the total number of keys you have for the car (including the new one), then it will take you through step by step, starting with your main key.
It only take a minute or so for each key.

Thanks Bod. Do you know of anyone who has successfully managed to do this, and more specifically on the scudo 2 / expert 2. And what about the bsi. Is the code for unlocking the bsi to allow the procedure or is it a code for the key itself.
Just trying to get an understanding of what i am suppose to do and why i am doing it.
Thanks again

I am definately over ten, but only just got the pp2000 up and running. Waiting for the code from the other site, so just trying to get an understanding of what i am looking for and how to go about it in the meantime. I would think for someone who has dabbled with the pp2000 for a while that this would be childsplay, but it is all new to me at the moment. Thanks betty.......... Jim

Most of us with planet have coded keys without any problems, but don't think planet would work on a scudo-it will read fault codes but won't do the keys, code key on a expert no problems, pin code unlocks bsi for coding.

There is no other way of coding unless you are able to clone keys.

Best thing to do with planet is have a look around to see whats what, without altering anything and finding your way to see what you can do as for keys it is really simple and you can't go wrong just make sure you have a new key/transponder as used ones are no good.

Thanks cab.. The scudo is basically the same as the expert. They are produced on the same production line and have the same engine/electrics but a different badge when they go out the door. As for the remote. it is a second hand one, but if i can get it to open the doors then i will get the new virgin transponder and mechanical blade and code it in, Well thats the plan.

THANKS.............. Jim

I know the are basically the same but planet won't read/work with everthing on the scudo, I know I've been asked to try. I doubt what you are planning will work to be honest but as you have the key already you haven't anything to loose.

Dont worry. wasnt taken as an insult. have required sense of humor. waiting on digital-kaos for code. When it comes to new tech, i like to get as much detail as i can before trying anything. getting a low down on others experiances and knowledge is as good a way as any to catch up quicktime........ Thanks.... Jim
