Default Plip key

I have a 52 plate 307 1.4HDI but when I bought it, it only had one key and it is not a plip key.

Can these be bought separately and programmed to work with my car and can they be bought relatively cheaply?

I have seen plenty of replacement fobs advertised but these come without the electronics inside, also I have seen a few people selling used ones but can these even be reprogrammed to work with another car?

Thanks.

About £120 all in as long as you have transponder code , this was done through a dealer recently.

Thanks, I had hoped it could be done cheaply but perhaps not.

What about the used key? can these be reprogrammed or are they permanently locked to one car?

They are no good , you need a virgin fob around £45 , a blade that fits fob if you have one then £0 , peugeot planet diagnostics or someone to do it around £20/£30 , transponder code i can get if you haven`t one £5 , total £80 if you have all these things.

Thanks that's a big help.

I have read another thread about the transponder code and I would need this as I also never received the card with this on. I understand you need my vin number, would it be possible to e-mail this to you as I am not able to send PMs yet, also how would I pay you for this? Do you use paypal?

NVM: I just read some of the more recent posts in that thread will send you vin via paypal tomorrow

2 BUTTON REMOTE KEY FOB, for 307 +NEW BLADE+NEW CHIP on eBay (end time 12-Apr-11 16:33:33 BST)

Can't lose

If you buy it and it's not a virgin key, you've got ebay on your side

That's funny, I had just found the same thing myself and was going to post it here and ask for any opinions on it.

Looks like you beat me to it and answered my question.

Thanks.
