Hi,
New to the Forum but looks like the right place for help. I have a Partner 1.6Hdi which has always had 5/40 fully synthetic oil. I have been advised by a Citroen Technician at a local garage that due to a number of Turbo failures on the equivalent Berlingo model, they now use 5/30 Fully synthetic oil. My question is should I use 5/30 oil at my next oil change ?. My Son in law is a Ford Technician and informs me that they use 5/30 in all of their 1.6Hdi's which is the same engine as my Partner. Which oil would you recommend ?? Hoping for a constructive reply to my dilemma. Regards Lincol

The turbo failures have nothing to do with the 20,000km service intervals??
