Other half quite fancies a Citroen C3 1.4HDI. Now I know this is for Peugeots, but I am presuming the 1.4HDI in the C3 is the same 1.4HDI in the 207??
Based on this, any well known problems with this engine? I'm not expecting generic Citroen problems as this is designed for Peugeots, but I'm presuming the majority of a Citroen is the same as a Peugeot anyhow? On face value, they are considerably cheaper than the 207 counterpart, and presuming they are fairly similar, servicing/repairs etc (PP2000 Vs. Lexia for example, and the serviceboxes) should be fairly straight forward as I've had HDIs for 6/7 years. Anyone who has had one though, your experience much appreciated

They are pretty much the same as the 207. They seem more like a tin can to drive though. The 207 seems more insulated.
I'd go for it if I was you. Engines are all the same. no serious problems. The 1.4 is one of the better Peugeot diesel engines.
