newbie needing help please

hi my daughter has a 206 1.1 on a w reg theres a problem with the central locking it will unlock on the remote button but when you try to lock on the remote button all the locks go down then come back up any ideas please many thanks

Are you sure that all doors, boot and bonnet are closed properly? This normally happens if something is left open, or it thinks something is left open.

Or sometimes when something is jammed in the door that stops it from locking like a seatbelt. Could aslo be a faulty keyfob where the unlock button is somehow sticking?
