Newbie - looking for 205 GTI Seat Covers

This is my 1st post on this forum and hope it will not be my last.

I have recently bought a 1988 205 GTI for my 40th birthday which I am in the process of returning (where humanly feasible) the car to showroom condition.

The original seats were not in a bad state but I want this car to be absolutely perfect. They are the half leather S1 seats with the light grey/darker grey fabric with the red stripe. So I sent them off to my trimmer who can not source replacement fabric.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am OK with the leather as we can match this but it the fabric I can not source. Or am I going to be unlucky and have zero chance of getting a matching replacement?

If they are not available, does anyone know if replacemement fabric for the series 2 seats is available and if so, where I can source it from?

I am sure this will not be my 1st or my last post so appreciate the cammerarderie that most owners and owners forums can offer. The body is having a complete respray as we speak with all plastic on the interior and exterior being either replaced or repainted back to original. I will then be sending the car to my old rally support team (who have run 205's for many years now) who will completely sort out all the mechanicals.

I really appreciate any help & advice that anyone can give on the seat fabric.

Can't help, but please keep us updated with the project and with pics, I adore the 205, I hope to get another as the "family second car" in the near future.
