is it possible the central locking function has been disabled somehow, in PP? The car is an ex police car, straight from auction, and came with just the manual key, could the police have disabled the alarm/cental locking because they lost the key fob i wonder???? OR, anyone have any idea what could be wrong otherwise, new battery fitted to fob so don't believe its that. Very frustrating!!!! Glad of any help anyone, please!

When you code the key, planet tells you a short sequence to re-enable the remote central locking...was this followed....

no, it would not have been, the key cutting service did not provide remote key fobs, and had to change the chip inside because their equipment was not compatible with the original devices, they did not know how to match the fob to the car, so i doubt they would have been able to 'match' the car and fob. is that going to be the problem then do you think?

Did the key place also transfer the little chip from the inside, not just the circuit board? Read on here numerous times of people not transferring the complete inners and then having problems getting them to work.
