Sounds as if the BSI has been wiped.
Does the car start?

This happens when the BSI has got a spike from the battery clamps may have been inadvertanlty been fitted wrong way around or battery has gone very flat.

the electric windows dont work, the car will start from a jump start but it will take a good while to start even from the jump!

Why don`t you try a new battery, you`re going to have to buy one at some point.
