Hi.
Recently had and sold a pug 307 2.0 Rapier Hdi 90. Blue. I sold it because it was only a 3 door. Thinking of coming back to a 307hdi due to the fantastic fuel I was able to get from it. I drive 50 miles daily, so want something fuel efficient, and a nice looking car. I know 2 grand won't get me a lot, but wondered if you could suggest the correct model to look for. Want to avoid the particular filter models and such like known models with possible expensive repairs. I'm not fixed 100% on the 307 or even Peugeot...so any suggest would be fantastic and helpful. So need: Nice looking, and good on fuel (surely to be diesel), without the dreaded filter problems. Must be 5 door too. Basically what used car would you buy with 2k?? Thanks. Paul. |

I'm guessing I've clearly asked a question, that will not be answered. I realise it's a buyers choice, just wanted some ideas.
Read a lot of bad reviews on 307's, and that out of 100 best cars it came 97th. Really stuck on what to buy. Needs to be a diesel, also been looking at the vw golfs, they seem to be popular and hold good value. Looks like I'm answering my own question..lol. Thanks |

No !! Victor drove a 45 !! not a 75.....The 75 was always a Mondeo, Vectra , Avensis, Primera etc , etc Beater......In fact when it was a current model the Italians voted it " the best looking saloon cat in the world" In its day it was cetainly better looking that anything BMW could come up with!!
