Exclamation Less spam now on Peugeot forums

there should be moving forward since all new members will manually be approved by an admin

this should hopefully lower spam significantly

One slight problem i see is you`re the only Admin, now not knocking you but theres quite a gap inbetween your posts , if someone wants to join do they have to wait until you manually approve them?
We might not get a new member for some time.

I for one regret the passing of spam. I have 3 Russian brides, a Vietnamese houseboy, am knowledgeable about the batting averages of the Boston Red Sox and have developed a sense of concern for public transport in Beijing. On top of that all my favourites on Firefox are porn sites but seeing the same ones gets boring after a while.

Perhaps Admin can provide us with a weekly summary (with links and pictures.)

On my vBulletin forum, there is no difference between super moderator and moderator as far as administrative rights go.

In fact, I can see no differences whatsoever so I am completely puzzled why an SM role even exists

We end up running with 3 admin to allow new members through and sort out all the shite that mod's can't access

I'm not too sure about this,

While in theory it works, the automated bots that are creating and using these accounts arent going to stop are they, so we could be faced with a massive load of pending new accounts and end up missing genuine people

I reckon this is going to cause more work than what currently needs to be done to stop spam!

Can you not chuck a captcha into the reg process so the spambots cant even make an account, from what i understand its not hard to add one in and its free!!
