Default K & N air filter

Hey guys, does anybody know if the K&N air filter is supposed to be half the depth of the standard? The height x width dimensions are fine its just only half as deep as the air filter already in

Dunno, I prefer Pipercross - cheaper, better flow, and a more efficient filtration medium.

Well I'm going to be driving 20 miles in the morning, I guess I'll have to put my old one back in until i get this clarified.

Will the replacement air filter work fine on air con models?

Well I've searched the K&N website and they only have one type for the 2L 307 from 2002 so I must assume it factors in air con and non-air con.

Thats what I thought too.

Its the one where you lift the bonnet, undo two screws, and take the one in the box out, and the new one in.

at the front of engine block on right half (as you look at it) - engine air filter, should be good to go

at the back, very top left, hidden by sound proofing - cabin filter.

Yeah it's the engine air filter.

"Hidden" is your keyword there. If I can't see it, it doesn't exist, therefore I wont be buying owt for it! haha!

When does that cabin filter need changing?
