Hi and pugeot 206 will not start?

Hi all new member here sorry to pick your brains so soon, problems already!! I bought this car three days ago. I have changed the clutch on my peugeot 206 1.4 petrol. Everything went fine untill I connected up the battery. As soon as I did this the central locking locked the doors (Key in pocket. Lol). I then opened the door with the key and tried starting the vehicle which turned over but did not start. Also the back windscreen wiper stays on and I can not turn it off, However I have disconected the wiper via the snap clip. How can I switch the wiper off and start the car? Can anyone help thank you

Sounds like an earth problem. Check earth on the gearbox. especially if its been out lately.
