Default HELP! Think I have f****d it!

I have been trying to trace a lack of power to my headlight adjusting switch. I think I have fried my BSI. It suddenly started coming up with all sorts of faults and the car wouldn't switch off. Now when I switch on the rev counter shoots to 4000 revs it beeps doesn't start !!!????
Does this sound like BSI fried. I have disconnected battery but made no difference.
Trying to connect PP2000 right now without much luck!
Any good advice would be VER MUCH appreciated!!
Phil

well the dealerships may do it the best and fastest, but your looking at serious money there...possibly a few grand.

but i have heard that bbraman or w.e is ok, you send yours in, with a few quid and he gives you a refurbed one back (not yours)

OK!
I had a wire come off! One that had needed re-doing when I put the dedicated towbar wiring on.
SO, I now have a car that runs. BUT, there is a pump running when I have the ignition on (which makes it difficult when connecting PP2000) I would think it is the diesel additive pump. The anti pollution fault has gone but I can't seem to read the additive pump ECU now.
HOW can I disconnect the additive pump????? I really need to stop it pumping when the ignition is on.
AND where is the ECU for controlling the additive pump and are they very expensive to replace????

Try behind glove box ,but if you disconnect it or stop the pump will it not through faults up all over the place.

PHEW! Now't like a bit of excitement on a Sunday afternoon!
It would appear that all is well now. I took the car for a blast and the additive pump seems to be behaving now! I am still having trouble talking to the car with PP2000 but I think this could be my computer being the problem.
I do presume somewhere in PP200 I can go and check the additive level if I can get connected?? The pump did end up running quite a bit!
AND all I wanted to do was trace the feed from the BSI to the headlamp levelling switch to find if there was power there (which there wasn't). That must be a BSI problem! I think I will just have to stick a feed into the switch from somewhere else. Don't know where?
Cheers!
