I just wondered if anybody was ever going to answer any of my questions regarding retro fitting cruise control on my Partner based camperan.
Over the past week or so I've read, and contributed to, all of the threads I can find about the subject in various areas on this forum and I've started my own thread in the general area. I've even posted the same question on all of the subjects threads at the same, time just in case members tended to look at particular interests. Unfortunately that plan didn't work either because somebody removed all but one of them. So far only one member (jmkent) has replied and kindly posted the part number of the stalk used for a factory fit but I still don't know what else I need or even if its worth trying. From reading the threads there appears to have been a great deal of CC retro fits to all sorts of other models, mainly successful. So, I'll try my main questions once more: 1) Does anybody know if CC can be succesfully retro-fittd to an 08 plate 1600 deisel Partner Van? (I've taken the cover off the column and there does appear to be a 'socket' for the stalk). 2) If it can, is there a member in my area (north Birmingham / Lichfield) with the facility to re-programme my ECU? 3) According to my owners handbook if the vehicle was fitted with CC then it has a different instrument cluster with a CC readout. will the system work without changing the dials? 4) What other things might I need? Thanks. Dave.

Probably had all but one removed as it is frowned upon members, especially new ones, who come on and post the same post multiple times..... most of the knowledgeable chaps look on all areas of the forum anyhow
It might be that nobody knows the answers for the Partner van, rather than not answering your questions.... if they don't know, they won't post ![]() Personally, I would have thought it would have been similar to other Peugeot models, however, not aware of the different dash as with the cars, it just appears on the display in the dash anyhow, with or without CC this still looks the same.

Thanks for that.
My dash consists of,(from left to right): A small guage for fuel,; a large rev-counter; the speedo; then a small temp guage. According to the hand-book. Vehicles with CC have their temp guage as an inset in the bottom of the rev-counter and where my temp guage is there is a square digital display panel which gives all the information about CC and speed limiting. I will scan the pages and try to post them but it may take a while for the MOD's to vet the post. Dave. |

OK thanks.
No it doesn't On that infotec link I clicked on: Partner; (my book is the one with red van) 2008- 2009; Instruments, controls and displays: instrument panel petrol - deisel. That brings up page 18. The large picture shows my display. The small picture shows the variation for a CC dash. If you then go back to the 'driving' section instead of the instruments and click on either Speed Limiter or Cruise Control you can see all of the different display functions. My worry is that if the display is needed for the CC to work then I won't bother. |

Wouldn't like to say whether it would work without the display, but driving it and knowing whats set would be a bit trickier.
Daividireland is probably your best bet for a definitive answer

I agree with Mr. Kent.
It may also be worth finding someone with planet to have a look at the options in the ecu's. |

Well looking at the info added you will need the updated instrument panel if you want cc trouble is i wouldnt have thought many have retro fitted cc to a partner in your position with different display i would have thought all the plugins would be there to fit dash instruments but i would not think it would be cheap to buy one unless you can find one in a scrap yard .
i have planet to activate the cc but i have not used it on a partner before and from using on different cars it displays different for each one i have noticed and it would be a search and try job changing to cc unless someone pipes up and says they have been there done that and got the medals if you get my drift. Not far from you in bilston I have fitted cc to my 407 and as i am buying a new car might take mine out to fit in yours if interested but i thinkyou really need the dash as well you would have no way of knowing if its on or off and must admit best cc i have used to date.
