Exclamation HDI on home heating oil

my mate has a 307 90bhp and put 18-20l of heating oil in his car what sort of damage would he have done? car is running fine atm is there anything he could add to the tank to make sure it would not damage the injectors i know on the dturbo engines that if you add a shot of oil it was ok what about HDI engines?

I remember back in the eighties we used to drive across the border and fill up our drums with diesel and we would start shaking when the customs would stop us....Lucky my father new most of the custom men..

If the tank is nearly empty it maybe worth a chance to top it up with diesel and hope for the best...

Highly illegal and he risks seizure of his car and a massive fine. He would, quite literally, probably get less punishment if he assaulted someone.

The only current exception to non-duty paid fuels are cooking oil and domestic-manufactured biodiesel made from cooking oil up to a max of 2500 litres per year.
