Default has my 307 been clocked?

I've been playing with my shiny new pp2000, and come across the fault logs. Scrolled down, and have logs for 165,000 km, decreasing as i go down the log. 165k km == 102k miles == what's displayed on the clock.
Scrolled down further, and find logs for 185k km?

is it that easy to clock these cars? i guess I'm lucky they have only knocked 20k km off .

Now, since I have the exact mileage when it was clocked, and clocking is illegal, should I find the culprit and sue them?

p.s. also broke my ribbon on wiper stalk of com2000 any advice as to if I can get to the socket for the cable without removing the com2000 unit welcome. at least I now have jerry rigged a trip button, even if i have not cable from it to the com2000 module....

The mileage is never accurate , don`t worry about it

Has the ribbon still the metal at the very end or is it snapped , if it has the metal then its just popped out of its holder , but you need com off and taken apart to replace.

ribbon has torn (i think from the look of the end, very close to the connector) . I've scraped back to reveal metal, but until i see the end which plugs in, and measured the length, I won't know if I can refit what i have left. Do you have any arm ends with trip left?
Would you post a close-up of the end of the ribbon that plugs in so I can assess if my scraping will work?

thanks for the pictures.

yeah, from the look of it, it's ripped off at the indents. I think the cleaned up end should fit back in, and I recon it should be ok. read somewhere there as a few cm of slack... so losing 1/4" should not matter. I've found a description of steering wheel removal, and assume the com2000 comes out easy after that, and then comes apart easy enough. While I'm in there I may solder a couple of wires on to the trip trigger, so that if my bodged trip button is not great, I can add a push button elsewhere on the dash.

These cars are fun... threw up ESP light and warning this morning; will code read at lunch. also somewhere in my enthusiasm of poking around to see what could be changed, I've ended up with all warnings in french
