fuel gauge

Hi, wondering if anyone can help. when im putting petrol in my 206 cc allure my gauge should be just showing as under half full, however its not registering and is showing as if i have not put any in. I have checked for a petrol leak which is now been confirmed not the problem, can anyone help.

Try putting more in, float might be stuck.
