Hi.
![]() I'm new to the forum so this may be in the wrong section. The MOD's might be good enough to re-post it correctly. I have recently inherited an 08 plate Mezan Campervan which is built (by Auto Sleepers) around a Peugeot Partner LX8000 66Kw Van. As a van, generaly used for short runs by a local plumber, builder etc. it would not benefit from having cruise control but now that it is a campervan with the prospective of traveling many miles on motorways both in the UK and abroard cruise control would be extremely useful. My question is: Does anybody know if there is a Peugeot saloon with cruise control that has the same 1560cc diesel engine, electrics, management system etc as the Partner and how easy would it be to fit? Many thanks. Dave.

I've just looked through the owners handbook (should've done that first
).Anyway, it would appear that cruise control is an option on the Partner Van so... what do I need to do? help please. ![]() :.Can anybody help me with part numbers etc. I've seen a few cruise control units for various Peugeot's on our favourite auction site but don't know which is which or what might fit mine. If it helps my engine number is: JB663216532 Thanks Dave.

Thanks, that's really useful but wouldn't I need more than just the switch?
Do you think that all of the electronics and possibly mechanics are already fitted in the vehicle and just need a switch to activate it? If so would the CPU need re-programming? On eB@y I've seen this sort of thing: Called an actuator, there are different ones for different models. It doesent really look like part of a switch, more like some sort of electronic module. Would I need such a thing? Thanks. Dave.

I've just found this:
Will it do? Do I need anything else? Thanks. Dave.

I've just found the 'Retro Fit Cruise Control' thread in the maintenance section.
I've read through quite a few of the 19 pages and even understand some of it. I'm happy to wield spanners and hammers and am even happy to trace and solve general electrical faults but not so confident with computer controlled stuff. If I buy a stalk (the 6242 Z9) for just cruise, not speed limit, is there somebody round my area who would be willing to programme the cars CPU for me? I'm just north of Birmingham, near Lichfield and would be willing to pay for the service rather than line the pockets of the big dealers. Thanks. Dave.

Its interesting that when checking your exact VIN, rather than just a random Partner, it doesn't list the CC as a part available
![]() Maybe it can't be done with a different dash??

The campervan was registered in June 08 and it was a new vehicle built by Auto-Sleepers on a brand new chassis. But, it could be that the 'donor' vehicle is actualy the previous years model. It would have taken time to convert, market and sell.
It is exactly the same interior as my neighbours 'plummers' van which is a 56 plate. (no CC). |
