Hello , this is my first post on this forum. I've just bought a 2002 peugeot partner van. Got a new things i would like some help on/point towards the right page.
First off my rev counter is dead. No needle wobble or moment of any kind. How do i go about changing the time? The buttons by it don't seem to do anything. Anything i should be keep an eye on with these vans? Common problems? Thanks in advance. Ben

On another note , are the clutches always really heavy on these?

Other than those :P After a long long search , I've read that there may be fuses for the clocks?
Bloody thing wont start now to! Don't seem to be getting power to the glow plugs , so guessing the relay/timer unit has died. So will check that out later today. Does an 2002 partner have an immobiliser? The Keys seem to look like they are chipped but cant be too sure. My thoughts are if its not the relay/timer it could be the immobiliser at fault (if it has one) |

Thanks for the offer but the starting problem has been solved.... And you wouldn't believe it! Took the relay apart and it was working fine , but not latching for more than a second. Tried a second relay (from a friend) and still doing the same. Seeing that the relay is a double throw i figuard there must be a secondary sensing circuit somewhere... So took the engine covers off and got a torch and had a poke around the glow plus and... WTF! There was a pair is scissors shorting one out! God knows how long its been there for! Perhaps thats why the last guy sold it to me... Happy days anyway

Few more little niggles today. Half the back lighting bulbs have died , but i can sort that out.
The door sometimes doesn't latch, but being an ex posty van I'm guessing a spring in the mechanism has worn out. The heater is HOPELESS, on it's maximum setting it is little more than luke warm. I'm guessing giving the system a flush would help towards this? May be something as simple as an air lock/blockage in the heating pipes. Other than that , its a great little van

So, replaced the thermostat because it was sticky. Cleaned all the coolent pipes , and put new anti freeze in. No air in the system , and still no heat?
