Hi,
I previously posted a lenghty thread on my 02 307's abs problems, thanx to everyone who replied, still not sorted but would appreciate any help on these codes! My friend plugged it in and got 2 faults, dont know the codes: 1, Permanent rear rh wheel speed sensor signal coherence 2, Permanent recirculation pump. pump seized, open circuit, short circuit to positive, short circuit to earth. My blowers are constantly blowing out air even when switched off please tell me it is this and not the abs pump? surely it would say abs pump? PLEASE someone help i need someone who has had experience in this all most people wanna do is plug it in and charge me to tell me the faults i know about! REALLY DONT WANT MY ABS PUMP TO BE SHOT!!! |

Sounds like it is shot. Get all the wiring checked to it from the engine bay fuse box.
The coherance fault is to do with the air gap of the wheel speed sensor in relation to its pickup (the wheel bearing) There is probably corrosion built up around it creating a larger airgap than required. remove the relevant sensor and clean down its mounting area.

Thanx Dave,
Was really hoping it meant my blowers! if you read my older post '307 abs nightmare' it will tell you all the background, peugeot did recall the car before i owned itfor the water ingress and put a bag over my pump, but i have had two 30amp green (abs) megafuses blow over 18months so hopefully some wire is shorting out? should i take passenger side wheel and wing lining off and check the wiring from there to engine bay fuse box? what is the best way to go about it? and what am i looking for obvious corrosion? any advice appreciated. |

Something is not right with the connectors or the pump is shot. Be prepared for it i reckon.

You'll have to remove the front bumper and left hand headlight. Its all there i front of you then. Pretty easy.
