I am in the process of removing the FAP and flashing the ECU to update the car it is no longer there. I have been scanning forums and came across chiptuners where they have collections of original ecu files for most cars.
Does every Peugeot 307 2.0 hdi 90bhp (for example) have the same ECU file or all they are different in minute ways? My reason for asking is that I have removed the FAP and need to read/clear fault codes on the pug before I can read the file and buzz to Scotcruz. If I go to my local mechanic and clear the codes I will drive the car home and they will appear again before having time to flash the ECU with the new nodpf file. Will this be a problem when flashing the updated file to the ECU?

Hi,
I am having exactly the same concern, I did write the file back to the ecu but the dpf fault was still there, I am assuming because the faults were not clear to begin with? Did you resolve this issue? also is SCOTCRUZ still around? thanks |

Hi,
Each ECU has a hardware number and a software number if your using Galletto for example then when you open the program and press read it will display these two numbers. Let me know what they are and i might have a clean .Bin file in my collection for the software you need which you can play with. Their is more than just one software version for each ECU even if the hardware is the same. Also the if you are using Galletto then that tool only reads the configurations of the flash which is the .BIN file, its not a full flash. So even with the same software number you may run into trouble. Just my 2 cents.. Barrett130 |
