Default ecu fault clearing

hi
does anybody no how many times the ecu can be cleared of all faults as i was once told max was 20 and what happens then ive no idea.

Which ecu ? you have one for engine, radio, cd changer, abs, airbags,etc etc

i would think you can clear all faults as long as they appear no limit.

hi
just had time to plug planet into car and the faults are in the engine section,these are old faults from last year that have never been cleared cos i was having a nightmare with it however when i went to clear all faults it says faults been cleared 21 times out of a max of 50 and if i want to clear them again i will have to fill in a after sales something or other form in so i left it well alone .Any ideas welcome
