i believe from 96 or 98, all cars are OBDII compliant as a standard...its the protocol to communicate that differs in cars.

Ahhh...

Well £104 is a little too steep for me. Is there anything cheaper which might be useful or should I try my luck with a garage?

My car failed it's MOT today on emissions... here's the paperwork:

Bit gutted because the car had a full service and a new CAT/lambda sensor in March 2010...

just moderated that post for you

unfortunately i cant see the images due to work pcs blocking the site they are hosted on. there is a feature on the bottom of the add a reply page to add attachments...from personal exp this will resize automagically to fit.

but anyways, without looking, when was the last full service?

using something like redex or millers fuel treatment before you go can help.

you could also have a knackered exhaust (cat converter) or a hole.

Pics added.

CAT was new in March 2010 along with lambda sensor.

I did a full service 2 weeks ago.

The margins it has failed on do not look too excessive to me but I'm no expert.

yeah cool, just took a look...

personally i would get it hooked up to planet/lexia to see what that comes back on the tests. this will then save you money, without throwing money away.

Thanks for your time in replying.

I just thought that my readings were quite lowish in comparison to what others have had in the past and have been able to sort with an Italian service lol

I'll make my mind up what to do after a sleep
