I've just had to book the 308 in for a 25k service with the local dealers........£190 and according to them it's only an oil and filter change along with an inspection! They don't even change the pollen filter
I normally do all my own servicing but the 308 is under warranty and it's got a couple of issues that need looking at including a possible faulty DMF so I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and pay the dealers prices No doubt when I pick it up next week after it's done I'll get the usual BS from the dealers that they couldn't find any problems so they've not fixed anything and just done the oil change. |

HiQ do services and they don't void the warranty, it's advertised on their site.
They actually have decent prices and if you phone up and ask for their voucher book you'll be quids in. You could probably ask just before you book it in

Yep - Peugeot cannot insist that the car is serviced at a Peugeot dealer. To do so would now be illegal. But it does mean that you can't do it yourself and that the garage must use oe equivalent parts. There is a 'phrase' that is used to describe oe equivalent parts - but I can't remember it as I've have one or two glasses of Pedro Ximinez.

I normally do all my own servicing and I can get the book stamped up by a mate of mine but when it comes to getting repairs carried out, there's not much choice apart from using a dealer :-(

I think that if you`re looking to sell your car on and its quite fresh then full service history is worthwhile , if its 3/4 years or more its not worth the paper its printed on , my opinion

I had the full service (oil change, oil filter, air filter, diesel filter, etc) for my 407 from Peugeot for £190 all incl. Looking at the other 2 Peugeot dealers down this way, one was charging £259.99 and the other £289.99 for exactly the same thing - even dealers don't charge the same!

Every car I've sold, or even traded in, they haven't given a monkeys about the history, just so long as it has one.
