Cruise Control Installation Problem

Hi guys,

I am currently busy with installing retrofit cruise control on my car. Although I did the changes, I have no cruise control at all. My car is 2003 model Peugeot 307 SW 1.6 Petrol. Can you help me to find the problem?

Can anybody tell me how I can double-check that I have NFU BOSCH ME7.4.4 because there are some others in the list as well?

Have you activated it in the bsi here is how to but bare in mind this is for the 407 without speedlimiter.

Part no 6242 Z8 - Cruise Control with Speed Limiter (This stalk will not work unless you fit an extra switch to the accelerator pedal)


ENGINE ECU & BSI CONFIGURATION1)Global Test
2)Engine ecu
3)Configuration..once in the Configuration menu scroll down untill you see Cruise control..it will display "absent"..change this to "Present"..press F5 to configure.
it should display "Configuration carried Out"



Come back out of the engine ecu and select Bsi...
1)Select "configuration."
2)Select "Customer options"
3)Select "miscellaneous"
4)Scroll down untill you see "Presence and type of cruise control/speed limiter" it should say "value invalid" select this...
5)In this menu i selected "with type 2.2 cruise control and without speed limiter"


Once you have both engine ecu and bsi configuraton changed your cruise control should be working fine.... and you should have this on your display once

This is second picture. In my case, there is no option like "type ...". I have only "present".

Since I have 2003 model 307, I will see nothing on the display but I am with that

One of my friend told me that the brake switch could be faulty. I checked it with planet but it works.

It seems that everything is fine but it is not working

Mine is without limiter.

your 307 was there a blanking plate there to start with before adding stalk?

only the later cars fitted with the comms 2000 wiper and indicator assy as this is where the cruise control plugs into

Yes there was an empty slot for the cc stalk. I just take the lid out and insert the cc stalk. I have no idea why this is not working although everything seems okay.

Only thing i can say is start over again from beginning is the stalk a brand new stalk?

Yes everything is brand new. Martin(betty) bought them and shipped to me.
When I want to activate cruise control while driving, I just turn the thing to on position. Then after a while I depress my feet from the gas pedal and push the plus button. The car should accelerate itself. Is that sound right? I also tried this with pause button in the middle as well but the same.

Dont know what to say did mine 20 mins done
except reset back and start again
Make sure it is inserted correct clicked it place.

Where you from?

Mine is 407 though
