By conversion do you mean DMF to solid flywheel?

Hi mate,

Over the last couple of weeks I've repeated myself on at least 3 different threads about this exact models clutch. If you have a search of the forum you'll be able to find it.

Basically I got the cheapest deal out of anyone.

Typical solid clutch conversion kit £280
Labour £120

my opinion is keep it how the manufacture intended, it has been designed by people who no what would work best, and millions of pounds every year go in to engine and car design for others to come along and go, yep this modification is better. hmmmm im very sceptical of anything that affects the running of the car that is not standard.

If you changed the dmf and clutch kit yeah it would be £50 mor emaybe but you prob wont have to change it again for years, unless ur driving like a mentalist wheel spinning at every junction.

According to the resident Citroen/Peugeot tech we got on the forums, Peugeot stopped manufacturing DMF's due to their being a stupid part/big mistake, and now most places (including his) only fit the solid conversions.

DMFs are unreliable, when I converted to solid, I loved it. Much more responsive.

Peugeot are still fitting DMF where they are fitted as standard.... had my 407 done last year. I'd be amazed to find Peugeot dealers not fitting them, and as for the 'big mistake' DMF are used in so many cars now, all the modern torquey diesels have them for that exact reason - torque.
