Default Changing OS System????

Right in lay mans terms please explain how i change say a netbook on one operating system to another like XP ,
can i buy or get free an XP disc somewhere ?????????????

Good luck with this, i once asked how to do this to my laptop running vista and even tho i have my install discs for my old desktop (XP). it got too complicated for me

Netbooks don't take Discs do they? Have you googled it, my best guess is get it on USB and just try and run it. I'll ask me da, he's knowledgeable on that type of stuff.

And as far as I know, OS stands for Operating system, therefore your title says "Operating System System" - sorry, really had to say that

You'll be lucky to get hold of a copy of XP off the net.... supposedly illegal to get one, but I bet their on the torrent and rapidshare sites

To change from one to the other should be straightforward.... format of hard drive, and then installation of OS

Could also buy an external hard drive and install to that but have you checked the netbook makers website for drivers if they dont support xp then you might need a driver search software

If you want a legit copy of XP and a code let me know.

Installing to a Netbook can be done if you make a boot USB stick, but is a bit long winded. Microsoft make a USB installer program but it only works for Windows 7 and above.

But personally I just plug in a USB CD drive and install that way.

Then when all the updates and drivers are in, make an image with Norton Ghost for easy re-install when needed.
