Hi!
Im a bit of a crap mechanic...well im not a mechanic...i dont mind having a go and know a little, but forget a lot! My sisters car a 1.9hdi 205 on a 51 plate, decided it was gonna smoke its hoop off and throw the engine management light on. i got hold of a friend with his snap-on diagnostic comp and it was showing a crank sensor fault. So i bought the sensor(turns out to be wrong but thats a different story). I took out the battery tray, and started having alook around where the gearbox meets the engine, and around where the fly wheel is visible...and im looking for the crank sensor but because i have the wrong one, i cant see what it is im looking for...the one i have is off a 1.4hdi. Now i have been told its either below/above the starter motor. The only thing i can see above, is a small black unit that looks like its got siemens written on it...could this be it? if any one has a picture of the sensor actually on the bell housing or wherever, id be very grateful. Cheers in advance |
