can i re program a used 206 key

Hi there

Wonder if anyone can confirm if it is possible to re program a used 206 key 9 2 plip ) to work with my car

I have been advised this is not possible and would have to be a brand new key that hasnt been used

Can anyone confirm if this is true

Hi, the key can only be reprogrammed to your car if it was the original key for you car that you need to re code to it. If its a key from another car you cannot reprogram it to yours. It would have to be a new virgin key (or transponder chip)
