Put my car in for MOT on Thursday. Peugeot 307 1.6 petrol Quiksilver.
Mechanic identified fault with brake, something to do with the bar across the front (not sure if this is what Watchdog program was about). I had to pull the brake pedal towards me a few times with my foot when I took it away, as it was sticking. Next thing I've burnt the clutch out and had to have it replaced. Couldn't get over 30mph. Place who did MOT have it back and are saying they can't fix the brake problem...saying it's a known fault to do with rod going across to drivers side etc. They're now saying its blowing fuse and they can't even move it. Not sure what to do now. I can put it into a Peugeot garage but they can't look at it for a week. Any advice appreciated. |

After having read the post on this forum and watching the watchdog clip, I went out to check in our 307 - the bar is considerably higher than it seems to be in the C3's, so I can't see how it would cause the same problem really.
Saying that, you could remove the piece of carpet (or 'felt' as watchdog called it) in the passenger footwell and have a look if there's anything obstructing the bar!? Regarding the fuse(/s) blowing, do you know which one it is? |
