boxer bonnet catch faulty

bought an eldiss autoquest motorhome on boxer chassis ,its 6 months old .decided to look under the bonnet .the bonnet lever in the cab operates with full travel but seems loose .the bonnet doesnt open .the dealers in north wales and i live in west sussex ,so i cant pop in to get it sorted.does anyone have any ideas .

Yes, introduce yourself politely before just barging in and demanding help.

Then bite the bullet and drive to the dealers cos there ain't no easy war around it.
