i wouldnt say it would matter for the battery...its more of an alternator thing to push the amps and charge your battery.
but anyways look at your alternator and it should have a sticker and will have a number like 105a....which means 105amps.

i personally just bought a new battery for my focus from halfords. they gave me 4 options. typical lead-acid, heavy duty lead acid, typical silver calcium and heavy duty silver calcium. not too much of a difference but the lead-acids tend to throw the new charging systems into havok after a while.
on the amps per hour specs, i was told that doesnt really do much but the higher the better as the alternator will not have to work as hard to put the charge back as the battery will last longer with the engine off...of that makes sense also i was advised that type of fuel used and weather also predict which battery you should go for. being a diesel and living ontop of a hill in the moors most of my time and get snowed in during the winter loads i decided to pay £117 for a heavy duty silver calcium bosch battery.

Cheers man think ill just go with the one they gave me then got it for 40 quid anyway so even if it only last a couple years dont mind good price like reduced from 70 so next time if you are friendly with any mechanics try and get them to get one from a motor factor alot cheeper like and the same goes for anything you need to do with a car like

aii i know what you mean i normally go to a motorfactors myself for parts and ask a garage to fit it. only reason i got the battery from halfords was to get ripped off
...nah seriously it came with a free screwdriver set (i always lose them) and a lifetime guarentee.
