Hi all, I have a 306 98 model and just had it MOT'ed and it failed on the back box, they supplied and fitted one and charged me £78 for the box.
Now I thought that was a bit steep but was informed the one fitted isn't a cheap one. Now what I wanted to know is, is there a budget one and a decent one, as I was quoted £38 for one from andrew page. Cheers |

It's called markup! There probably are cheaper ones around, but being a backbox, it'll last you 3 years easilly.

I'd say it's an 'economy' one, unless the part number is used between different manufacturers. They must have given you the price before doing the work. Was the £78 including fitting? |
