Has anyone experienced fuel additive fault codes in the engine ECU that are not present in the additive ECU?
I have a fault with a 2004 307 HDI RHS. There is only a fault code in the additive ECU for an intermittent open circuit in the additive pump. The pump is rough sounding and may be on its way out. The problem I have is there are a whole list of remote fault codes in the engine ECU for the addivie system. I dont have them all but some are Fault with additive control module. Minimum Level reached. Amount of additive in the PEF reached maximum Fuel additive injector Fuel additive pump Fuel additive level sensor Fuel additive ECU Now I have checked in the additive ECU parameters and it says minimum level not reached. Which is correct as the system has just been re filled and all the levels reset. There is no additive level sensor in this system. I have checked and there are only the pump wires coming out of the additive tank. I am assuming it is working on the strategy of the amount of gramms injected to work out the additive level. Also I have changed the additive ECU for another good working one and configured the levels. Has anyone else experienced this fault. Would be curious to know. Was suspecting how reliable the engine ECU is with all these fault codes. Cheers for looking |
