Although it's not going to get you into your car, this Peugeot 607 (2000 - ) - 01 3.0 Alarm problem. Dealer can't find fault code | Technical matters | Back Room Forum | Honest John might help the alarm going off and your getting locked out again.

two things
1.
There is button on the dashboard, just by your right knee
If you turn off the engine, remove the key, then press that button
Hold the button in until the light come on on the button near the handbrake
Now the ultrasonic sensors are disabled

2.
I've had my 607 since november, and the alarm never went off until I fixed the heater control flaps a couple of weeks ago. Also I tossed the pollen filter.
Now the alarm goes off a lot
I'm pretty sure that wind is gusting through the ventilation system and setting off the ultrasonic sensors
When I leave the heater in recirculating mode it doesn't seem to do it
Probably if I put the pollen filter back it would help

well we have found someone to actually locate the alarm and disable it from the car but the doors are still very much locked and we have no ways of getting in so going to have to take it to the peugeot dealer tomorrow to see what they can do. what is this alarm then is it for electronics to let us know something is wrong im sure its not for theft purposes as we didnt even know it was there

I think the idea is that if someone manages to get into the car 'illegally', either the added presure caused when breaking a window or their movements will trigger the alarm. As you always got in 'legally' i.e. with a key, you would be unaware of it.

There is a similar thing on my 407 and you are encouraged to disable it if you intend to leave a pet or a person in the car once you lock and leave it.

Think most cars have this feature - for use if leaving pets, or a person in the car, or even just a window slightly open.

Get the bonnet open some how , leave it open , change battery and reconnect alarm , to see what happens .

This car is deadlocked. Going to be very difficult to get into it!
