Default air con condenser fault help

hi all

took my 307 cc se hdi to halfords for aircon service , where upon the found the condenser is broken , quoted me £400 to fit , went to dingbros where the part is £130 my question is is the condenser easy to fit or is it a specialist job

No , its a piece of pee.

Undo 2x upper bolts on plastic front panel for movement.

undo 2 x 10mm or torx bolts on condensor , waggle and move about and its out.

only time i would say its a no no is if the gas is present and in pressure...damaging stuff like fridge gasses....infact its similar stuff. but if its empty for say "a leak" then go for it

i got mine replaced, along with the rest, basically rebuilt for £450...just aswell as a pipe split and they agreed out right its covered under parts warranty.

Default condenser

hi when i open the bonnet is that the condenser which if it is , sits behind the radiator im a novice when it comes these things
