Hi all, general question from me about injectors and fitting them. I have an 86 Peugeot 505 sedan 2.5 TD (XD3T engine North American type). I need to change all the injectors as starting up is a little smoky but running is really good, also the 'feel good factor' in changing them is good. Anyway,
--can anyone tell me what is the torque figure when you tighten up the complete injector body with nozzle into the engine please? --What is the torque when you put the top half of the injector body onto the bottom half of the injector body after installing a new nozzle? ---May as well do another 'what is?' !--what is the torque when you tighten up the metal fuel line onto the top of the injector body? --Is it possible to use the 2 old 'washers' for each injector body when you put them back? Well that's enough hassle from me for now, thank God i have a diesel here in Seattle as it is so friggin wet it's enough to give you ignition problems all the time. Happy New Year and thanks |

If you have split the injectors to replace nozzles, then you'll need to get them put back together and pressure set by a specialist
