806 brake lights

HI all i wonder if anyone can help i have an 806 and the brake lights are not coming on apart from the high level light i have replaced the bulbs and it has had a towbar fitted at some point in the past i have removed the panel from the tailgate and looked at the wiring and it looks quite sound i will have a more in depth look tomorrow any ideas thanks

BB1 ,have you checked the switch above the brake pedal i think its got more than 1 connection- , i had this with mine not coming on and had to replace the switch , let me know when you get to the bottom of it mate .
