Unhappy 5008 Rust

I have rust on the tailgate of my 11 plate 5008, has any one else had this issue? Not sure if its down to the fact that the dealer in Oxford put the number plate in with screws to the metal body work Rather annoying when the car is 3 weeks old and has rust. Will post the outcome after my visit to the dealer on Thursday.

should have some sort of paint/body warranty if brought from dealer. i can remember a user complaining about rust on his new car, took it claimed warranty all was good. i think your best bet is to talk to chopper...if you get stuck that is.

Rust is not going to go away it will only hide for a while. I would request a new tailgate and necessary paintwork (blends etc) under warranty.

Body shop looked at it, thankfully it was swarf from the screws. Yes the dealer has screwed the plates into the metal work A quick polish and it was all removed

I was not aware but according to body shop manager Peugeot are allowed 3 imperfections per panel before they consider respraying under warranty.
